Reviews:
Good basic switch, low power consumptionI tested this switch and other switch models with a 'kill-a-watt' power meter. In typical usage, it uses 1/3 the power that other switches use. Worth considering for a new switch, but not worth the cost of replacing an old switch just to save power.
Other than that, 'it just works'. One reviewer noted that the maximum size of jumbo frames is smaller than with some other switches. It would also be nice if this switch would support 'teaming' (bonding multiple connections into one logical connection).
Bottom line: a good basic switch, will save you money on power, especially if it is left on all the time.

Reviews:
A very good High End Dual Band Router!Okay, i just bought a new laptop (HP Dm4t) and had wireless internet before. Through extensive research on the web i finally found this powerful router. This is the most feature rich router ive seen in a while, a little pricey but its worth it in the end due to the longevity of its life span and its ease of use and speed consistency over several devices connected at once.

The WNDR3700 lives up to its name! it increased my range throughout my whole house 2500 sq feet, and theirs no speed difference whether im upstairs or downstairs. Its fast, easy to install, reliable and one of the best 150 dollars i spent on a networking device. A plus to this already great device is the 5ghz wireless a connection which is less congested and sometimes gives a faster speed than the over crowded 2.4 ghz But make sure your wireless internet adapter/card supports it! it should say wireless a when you look at your wireless card through device manager. If it does not than you have no use for the dual band capabilities in this router but nevertheless, its 2.4 ghz gave me a promised 180 mbps wireless and 300 wired. But considering that i have a ps3, an xbox 360 an ipod touch and a laptop connected at once this router still maintains its speed.

Th only bad thing i found was the limited capabilities with the guest network but that was fixed with a firmware upgrade. I also suggest that you keep the router elevated on a shelf (downstairs if two story) and keep it standing rather than laying it flat due to heat issues and better range. I also should say the first thing you should do is update the routers firmware from one of the icons the install wizard makes for you.

All in all this is by far the best router i have used and its speed is fast, range is excellent and is perfect for connecting more than 1 device. The dual band is a plus, it will help if you live in crowded areas but you might notice a speed decrease or increase using 5 ghz and a range decrease. This is one of the best items i bought off of amazon and i highly recommend it for a people who aren't familiar with networking due the the ease of installation. A great buy indeed.

Reviews:
very good range!I bought this router mainly because of its extended signal range feature. I have a 1850sf single story house plus a seperated 250 sf entertainment room 5 feet away from the house. The signal strength is excellent in every corner of the house and in the outside entertainment room as well. We also have a mobile home as a guest house 100 feet away from the main house and I was wishing the signal strong enough to reach the mobile home so the internet can be avaiable to our guest. Guess what? After the setup, I went over one of the room in the mobile home and my laptop can detect the signal! It is not strong but at least there is no problem to go on the internet. I am very happy with this router.

Reviews:
A Great RouterI purchased this router for a simple home network. My 15 year old son set it up in minutes without any trouble at all. The router is in a spare bedroom on the second floor of a two story home, and signal is quite strong in the family room located in the basement of the house. We are running a hard wired desktop computer, two IPod touches and a PS3 game console through it at the same time. My son is playing games on the PS3, and I am playing counter strike at the same time on the desktop. No delays and no dropped connections. My daughter also bounces in and out on her IPod with ease. This is a great router and quite easy to set up! I would buy another without hesitation!

Unmanaged Gigabit Switch, 8-Port 10/100/1000Mbps.

Reviews:
Easy way to add gigabit Ethernet portsI don't have a lot to say about this D-Link switch. I plugged it into a port on my gigabit router (also D-Link), and it has worked flawlessly to give my seven more ports. (One port is used to connect the switch to the router.) I made sure that I upgraded all my cables to CAT6 for full gigabit speeds. While I cannot verify the speeds, my NAS definitely detects a gigabit connection, and the speed of transfer is noticeably faster than my older 10/100 MB router and network. The switch also has indicators on the front panel to show activity, and indicators that show what speed is detected (gigabit, 100 MB, or 10 MB). For technical users, I understand this switch is unmanaged, so it does not have traffic priorities. However, it is non-blocking so all ports can be used simultaneously at full speed. Highly recommended.

Decent, except for power supplySince they were available for cheap from various sales over the last 2 years, I bought a couple. Then one died, and I chalked it up as a fluke and bought another since it was by far the cheapest gigabit switch I could find to replace it. Today, #2 died.

Same symptoms: power light goes on, nothing else. Swapped the other still working DGS 2205 from the not-as-widely-used network (I have 3 gigabit switches in the house in various rooms), and turns out it's the power supply that failed, NOT the switch. Got the 'spare' power supply from the one that died last year (I keep power supplies, I'm constantly re-using them), and slap-in-the-face #2: it's dead too - I recycled the wrong part last year. ARGH. That'll teach me to assume power supplies are no longer a common point of failure..

Grabbed a different (adjustable) power supply. Switch didn't like 4.5V, but is back up and happily running at 6V for now. So, in 2 years, 2 dead power supplies out of 3. Time to buy another power supply.. Wish I'd kept the (probably) working switch.

All 3 models were the 'new' 5v models someone suggested one should get. I'm now wondering if they under-specced the 5v supplies, and are over-stressing them, trying too hard to be 'green' and actually causing MORE e-waste in the end..

Such is life when you buy cheap consumer-level products.. At least, a new power supply is < $10.

Upgraded from a WRT54G .. it's like night and day!I recently upgraded from my old Linksys WRT54G v. 6 router to the Netgear WNR3500L-100NAS and I can't believe the difference. My network feels much more crisp and the configuration options on this router are amazing. I am glad I purchased this router, it is definitely worth the money. I highly suggest this router to anyone who is in the market for a high quality wireless N router. You will not be disappointed.
