Questionable quality controlThe router was easy to configure using the setup wizard, at least for basic configuration. If you want to go beyond that, you're pretty much on your own because there is no documentation provided with the device. The wireless range is plenty for the house I live in, and had no problem connecting to it with my HP laptop. However, two of the four switch ports don't work.

very good range!I bought this router mainly because of its extended signal range feature. I have a 1850sf single story house plus a seperated 250 sf entertainment room 5 feet away from the house. The signal strength is excellent in every corner of the house and in the outside entertainment room as well. We also have a mobile home as a guest house 100 feet away from the main house and I was wishing the signal strong enough to reach the mobile home so the internet can be avaiable to our guest. Guess what? After the setup, I went over one of the room in the mobile home and my laptop can detect the signal! It is not strong but at least there is no problem to go on the internet. I am very happy with this router.

Easy to useI just plugged it into the back of my blu ray player and followed the instructions on the screen and was ready to go. I am NOT technically saavy, either, but I did already have a wireless router. Got on Netflix & Pandora immediately.

Order process misleading.I pre-ordered this router on August 29th because the ordering page said it was not yet in stock and I would be notified of the ship date by email, and I could cancel at any time before it shipped. The day I placed the order I received the message below.

Delivery estimate: We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item. It will ship separately. You can cancel at any time.

On September 2, I received this email.

My bank shows a debit for this item the morning that I was notified that they had a ship date. So I did not have the option to cancel the order once being informed of a ship date as I was told more than once. My Amazon account shows the item can't be canceled because it is in process, yet the ship date has now been updated to September 7, still 4 days away. Very misleading information from Amazon regarding the pre-ordering of merchandise and notifications.

If the router works well I may change my rating, since I am rating service with this review.

- Connect up to four USB Disks or thumb drives.
- Access the contents of the drives using any web browser.
- Upload/Download files using any web browser.
- Organize data the way you want by creating your own file hierarchy.
- Have data organized automatically (in addition to the directories you create). For example, music can be accessed by album, artist, or genre. Photos can be accessed by date.
- With a free desktop app you can access the disks as if they were mounted drives (e.g., P: ) from any computer connected to the Internet. While I'm typing this I'm also using Norton Ghost to backup my Netbook over a wireless connection to my Pogoplug-connected disk at home.

For me the only issue was the iPhone app crashed a couple times when I started using it. (I also could have done without the pink.) Beyond that everything has been flawless.

E3000 does the jobThe sign of a good wireless router is how invisible it becomes after setup. It's been about 3 weeks since I setup this router to replace a D-LINK DIR655. Setup was easy and I've had no problems. Range is better than the D-LINK. I now get 'HD' NetFlix quality more frequently (using wireless connection on Blu-Ray player). I wish that the LG BD390 operated at 5Ghz range, but that's another story. The only knock I have against the E3000 is that if you use the CD based setup application, the admin password and the access passphrase have to be identical. That's just not good security. Anyway, the browser based setup screens are not that difficult to navigate. I am not unhappy with the purchase.

Compact. Easy to use. Efficient. Reasonable price.I have used several usb hubs before. This one is the best for these reasons:

a) It is smaller than all the previous, BUT it has the same number of ports (4)

b) It has a cord longer than a couple of my previous.

c) It's ports are situated more comfortable than in the others, hence bigger devices could be plugged simultaneously.

I think enough for today.
